Biography

Doyin Akinlade is a Television producer, documentary filmmaker, trainer and the CEO of Happy Face Entertainment. Doyin manages a team of creative editors, animators, videographers, photographers and drama instructors, providing all aspects of video production, including television productions, film, drama, corporate documentaries and multimedia support.

Mr. A, as he is fondly called is also the creator and owner of The KKB Show. With over 300 episodes, KKB Show is the leading and longest Nigerian Kids show on TV.

He attended the Hollywood campus of The New York Film Academy where he studied filmmaking. He went on further to study advertising and holds a diploma in Advertising from APCON. He was best graduating student in Advertising, Research and Campaign planning.

Doyin has worked closely with several international organizations such as General Electric, etisalat, Geopoll in Washington D.C, Nielsen Company and Vayner Media New York. He also worked with DBN Television in Lagos as a producer. He has produced close to a thousand videos in the last decade.

He is a member of the Electronic Media Content Owners Association of Nigeria (EMCOAN), Association of Movie Producers (AMP), Independent Television Producers of Nigeria (ITPAN) and an Associate member of the Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria (APCON).

INTRODUCTION

The KKB show is a children’s program that aims at promoting talents in children and providing a platform for them to express themselves and learn positive values.

We believe the show is the bridge for qualitative entertainment and post classroom education for the Nigerian child.

KKB is an acronym for Kids Know Better. The children of today are the future of tomorrow and not only to be seen, but to be heard.

SEGMENTS

A visit:

The children are taken on an educative tour of an organization, trade, establishment or occupation. After which, they eventually act out the different roles or occupation they have seen.

Objective:

This act of role-playing helps the children get involved in the occupation and see what it takes to perform such roles. The viewers can also learn different aspects of each occupation and the tools of their trade.

This segment helps children in choosing a career.

Young talent:

Children with talents ranging from sports, crafts, arts, and music to special talents are interviewed on how they discovered their talents and the challenges they had to overcome.

Objective:

Toencouragechildrenwithlittleornospecialskillstodevelopthemselves and improve on what they have got. This segment also celebrates talented children.

Frank talk:

Children, to find their opinion and recommendation, discuss important social issues.

Objective:

The world is viewed from a child’s perspective as we embrace the innocence of their thoughts.

Character Building:

Different morals such as obedience, honesty, citizenship, etc are acted out in a drama. It is both educative and entertaining.

Objective:

Through drama children watching can actually learn different morals and discuss it with their parents or friends.
